Tommoro Robotics and industrial robotics specialist T-ROBOTICS signed a strategic memorandum of understanding on June 11 to advance robot foundation models and validate them in real operating environments.
The partnership aims to apply Tommoro Robotics’ RFM technology in logistics and manufacturing. Using T-ROBOTICS’ autonomous mobile robots, collaborative robots, and logistics platforms, the companies will validate and improve the models’ ability to make decisions and manipulate objects autonomously in industrial settings.
The companies plan to improve AMR+COBOT systems that combine autonomous mobile platforms with collaborative robots, then evolve the technology toward systems combining autonomous mobility with humanoid robotics.
Beyond logistics-robot products, the partnership will introduce AI across operational systems, including ACS fleet control, installation, and maintenance. The companies plan to jointly develop high-value capabilities such as real-time operational optimization and customer-specific support, and turn them into commercial solutions.
“This collaboration marks an important opportunity to demonstrate that robot foundation models can work in real industrial environments,” said Byoung-Tak Zhang, CEO of Tommoro Robotics. “Together with T-ROBOTICS and its hardware expertise, we will accelerate the commercialization of robot intelligence.” T-ROBOTICS CEO Seungwook Ahn added, “Combining robot hardware with AI software will create opportunities to apply humanoid robots across a range of industries.”
