Tommoro Robotics announced on August 13 that it has been selected for Intel INGENIUS, a global corporate collaboration program.

The program is led by Korea’s Ministry of SMEs and Startups, with the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development as its implementing agency. Tommoro Robotics plans to build a proof of concept for a VLA robot edge-computing device and integrate it with HABILIS Edge Runtime to validate an AI execution environment for industrial robots.

The HABILIS platform under development at Tommoro Robotics connects robot task-data collection, RFM-based training, robot execution, field operations, and retraining.

Security, latency, network reliability, and maintainability are critical in manufacturing and logistics. An edge-computing architecture that reduces dependence on the cloud and supports local AI inference and data review is therefore a key part of the system.

Tommoro Robotics plans to build its edge AI environment using OpenVINO, Intel Core Ultra-based AI PCs, and industrial edge hardware.
